This amazing piece is from the eastern part of Turkey by the Mount Ararat region near the Turkoman villages. They are 100% pure handmade and spun wool on wool. The yellow area of the rug is colored with natural and vegetable dyes, such as pomegranate, henna, and saffron. The black areas of the rug are natural undyed wool. Each piece takes around 4-5 months of work, hand done by one person for 5 days a week.
