This dainty necklace is adorned with a twisted rope bronze bow, and is suspended by small rosary chain. It measures in at 16”, with a two step, two inch extension, bringing it down to 18”. It is finished with iconic lock.
This necklace is inspired by Stage Coach Mary. (1834-1914)
Mary Fields, also known as Stage Coach Mary, or Black Mary, was an American mail carrier, who was the first black woman to be employed as a star route postwoman in the United States. Mary built a reputation of being fearless. Mary’s job was not only to deliver the mail, but to also protect the mail from bandits, thieves, wolves and the weather as well.
